Las PAO se utilizan com\u00fanmente en aceites de motor (tambi\u00e9n para vehicules el\u00e9ctricos), hidr\u00e1ulicos, compresores, engranajes y cojinetes, que trabajan en temperaturas extremas. Tambi\u00e9n se utilizan en generadores e\u00f3licos y como bases lubricantes para la formulaci\u00f3n de grasas.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>\u00bfCu\u00e1ndo utilizar las polialfaolefinas? <\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><ul style=\"text-align: justify;\"><li>Cuando las bases lubricantes convencionales no pueden satisfacer demandas espec\u00edficas de rendimiento.<\/li><li>Cuando un lubricante sint\u00e9tico puede ofrecer beneficios econ\u00f3micos para las operaciones en general.<\/li><li>Para m\u00e1quinas y equipos modernos que funcionan en condiciones cada vez m\u00e1s severas, donde es especialmente deseable reducir el mantenimiento y mejorar la eficiencia energ\u00e9tica.<\/li><li>Para lubricantes y grasas con contacto accidental con alimentos (NSF HX-1).<\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>\u00bfCu\u00e1les son las principales diferencias entre las PAOs y las PAOs metaloc\u00e9nicas (mPAO)?<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Las PAOs (PAO) son bases sint\u00e9ticas obtenidas de mon\u00f3meros de etileno (alfaolefinas) polimerizadas en presencia de catalizadores, obteniendo mol\u00e9culas de mayor tama\u00f1o (polialfaolefinas). En cambio, las PAOS metaloc\u00e9nicas (mPAO) son bases sint\u00e9ticas obtenidas de la misma forma que las PAO pero en presencia de un catalizador de metaloceno. Las mPAO tienen una estructura en peine uniforme que carece de cadenas laterales cortas, mientras que los PAO tienen cadenas laterales largas y cortas en una orientaci\u00f3n aleatoria a ambos lados
