# ANTIFREEZE

Antifreeze
Ingredients

Coolants and/or antifreeze fluids perform the primary function of protecting a system by dissipating heat so that the system can continue running at the right working temperature. This is done by lowering the freezing point of the base chosen for cooling/heat removal from the system and as a secondary property to protect against corrosion and oxidation of the system. Corrosion protection is needed for all metal and alloy types, particularly aluminium alloys and light metals.

**Lumar’s wide range of additives can be added to the chosen base and that meet various quality standards**:

- Industrial standard: inorganic (Si, B), organic (OAT), hybrid (Si-OAT, PSi-OAT), NAP free, food.
- Automotive standard, with OEM approvals.

We also have specific anti-corrosion packages for cooling non-fossil fuel systems such as hydrogen and solar panels.
