Just over a year ago, at Lumar Química, we took an important step in our internationalization strategy with the creation of Lumar Química México. This initiative was launched with the goal of strengthening our presence in one of Latin America’s most promising industrial markets while bringing us even closer to our customers.
Today, after this first year of operations, we can confidently say that the experience has been highly positive. Establishing our presence in Mexico has allowed us to work more closely with manufacturers, formulators, and industrial companies seeking reliable technical solutions for the formulation of lubricants, antifreezes, corrosion inhibitors, and industrial detergents.
A Strategic Decision to Be Closer to the Market
The opening of our offices in Mexico City and the development of a local logistics structure were driven by a clear vision: to provide a more agile service, improve responsiveness, and strengthen relationships with our customers throughout the region. From the outset, this project was conceived as a long-term investment aimed at consolidating Lumar Química’s presence in Latin America.
Over the past months, we have gained a deeper understanding of the specific needs of the Mexican market, established new business relationships, and continued building a collaborative network based on proximity, trust, and technical expertise.
A Market Full of Opportunities
Mexico has established itself as one of the continent’s leading industrial hubs, with strong activity across sectors such as automotive, manufacturing, mining, energy, and industrial maintenance. This dynamic environment is generating increasing demand for raw materials, additives, and specialized chemical solutions capable of meeting ever more demanding technical requirements.
For Lumar Química, being part of this ecosystem represents an opportunity to continue delivering value through our technical expertise, our international supplier network, and our experience in the distribution of specialty chemicals for industry.
A Positive First Year in Numbers
The results achieved during this first year confirm the positive reception of Lumar Química México in the region. During this period, we have supplied a total of 97 tonnes of products and developed relationships with 23 customers across Mexico and Latin America.
Our activity has also expanded beyond Mexico, reaching markets such as Peru, Argentina, and Uruguay, strengthening our position as a trusted partner for customers throughout the region and reinforcing our commitment to supporting industrial growth across Latin America.
Closer to Our Customers
One of the key lessons from this first year has been confirming the importance of proximity. Having a local presence enables us to provide more direct support, better understand our customers’ challenges, and respond more quickly to market needs.
This expansion has also strengthened our ability to identify new business opportunities and continue developing strong relationships with companies across the region.
For commercial enquiries and technical assistance in the region, customers can contact José Venegas, who leads our commercial activities in Mexico and supports customers throughout Latin America.
Looking Ahead
This first anniversary is not a milestone reached, but rather a new starting point. We continue working with the same enthusiasm that inspired us to launch this project, convinced that market proximity, technical specialization, and long-term relationships will remain fundamental pillars of our growth.
At Lumar Química, we believe that internationalization is, above all, about being closer to people, understanding each market more deeply, and building lasting partnerships that create value for everyone involved. We would like to thank the customers, suppliers, and partners who have been part of this first year of our journey in Mexico.
We will continue growing, learning, and building together the future of the chemical and lubricants industry across Latin America.
