Ingredients
Coolants and/or antifreeze fluids perform the primary function of protecting a system by dissipating heat so that the system can continue running at the right working temperature. This is done by lowering the freezing point of the base chosen for cooling/heat removal from the system and as a secondary property to protect against corrosion and oxidation of the system. Corrosion protection is needed for all metal and alloy types, particularly aluminium alloys and light metals.
Lumar’s wide range of additives can be added to the chosen base and that meet various quality standards:
- Industrial standard: inorganic (Si, B), organic (OAT), hybrid (Si-OAT, PSi-OAT), NAP free, food.
- Automotive standard, with OEM approvals.
